Reinsurance Audits & Inspections



As a Reinsurer are you satisfied with claims information being provided by your cedant? Do you have concerns with claims handling and reserving? Do you need to understand the underlying business being written?

Are you happy that costs and third party appointments i.e. lawyers are being controlled?

It may be that all is required is a review of the current claims on a contract to ensure the adequacy of reserves and reporting to Reinsurers.

However, it may require a much more detailed or “drains up” review to ensure that the terms of the contract are being adhered to, that the business being underwritten is in accordance with the placing information and your own understanding.

We have substantial skills and experience of conducting all types of these reviews. This includes underwriting, claims and technical skills which allows us to understand your concerns and tailor our approach to address them.

Our involvement is on a confidential basis and is guided by the relationship you have with your cedant and the approach you wish to take.

We will provide a detailed report of our findings both for individual claims and for the overall operation of the contract and/or programme.
